Elements Section Two

The first premiere for Segments: Section Two is up now! MATEC makes his solo Detached debut with the insane sounds of ‘Silk’, showcasing exactly why you need to keep an eye on him! Out this Friday the 23rd

Kipsy – Body, Soul, Feet

Fresh from his debut LP on KOS.MOS.Music and his track ‘Leave A Gap’ on our first ‘Segments’ EP, Kipsy returns to Detached Audio with a 3 track EP featuring the talented Uphonix. All 3 tracks demonstrates Kipsy’s love for funk, soul and organic liquid Drum & Bass.

Up first is ‘Body, Soul, Feet’ – a high energy slice of funky Drum & Bass that encapsulates Kipsy’s signature sound at its best. Infectious bass hooks carry this track and ensure this track stays fully ingrained in your mind. Next up is ‘Wanna Do’ featuring the talents of Uphonix. This track is more laid-back in its approach with dreamy euphorics and funky guitar and piano licks; showcasing a perfect marriage of the sounds of two great artists.’The Rekindle:r’ closes off this EP and sees Kipsy add an old-school jungle flair to his sound, watch out for the choppage on this one!

Shodan on DA

The incredibly talented Shodan returns to Detached after his phenomenal ‘Man Bite Dog’ EP to present ‘Transmissions’, a 4 track EP featuring a collaboration with Colossus, packed full of rowdy basslines, hard hitting drums and intense atmospherics, just the way we like it.

‘Infused’ sets the tone for the EP, with a catchy vocal hook and chopped organic drums transition into a bouncy track with a wobbly, weighty bassline that is sure to be an earworm. ‘Dead Already’ enlists the talents of fellow Think Breaks Podcast co-host Colossus for a deep, brooding atmospheric before a barrage of amens and tearout basses are unleashed on us. Buckle up for this one!

‘Here We Go!’ is up next and showcases Shodan’s drum processing skills at their best while also displaying a more fun side to his production. The EP is wrapped up by ‘Transmission’, which is a neurofunk banger that takes us right back to the late 90s, showcasing Shodan’s roots and decades worth of experience in this scene.
